Digimon Tamers is a Digimon role-play based off of season 3 of digimon, known as Digimon Tamers. This series is different than the first two seasons of Digimon Adventures, in that the world is completely different and digimon is a well known card game and television series. Prior to bioemergence people didn't know digimon actually existed.

The digital world was created by a group of scientists who wanted to create artificial intelligence, but the project was cut short and left alone. In their wake, the digital world came to life as the programs they created evolved into actually creatures, to be known as digimon (digital monsters). The two worlds existed side by side, with the real world having no idea of its existence, whereas digimon wanted to come to the real world to escape the cruel truth of the digital world: fight or die.

Finally able to bioemerge, HYPNOS (a government organization that monitors all online data) tracks them and works to find a way to stop digimon from emerging. Not all digimon are friendly.

Digimon Tamers are humans, usually children, who are given a digivice, known as a D-Power and lastly, a digimon partner that they are linked to. Digmion with a tamer are able to digivolve to new and powerful forms without having to absorb countless amounts of data from other digimon. They can be improved with modification cards using the D-Power and have an advantage over the average wild digimon.

More and more powerful digimon will bioemerge, and with some incredibly power and destructive, it is up to the Tamers and their digimon to protect their world.
